Your Questions Answered
We understand that you may have questions about our day training programs. Here are some of the most common inquiries we receive, along with detailed answers to help you make informed decisions about your dog’s training journey.
How long is day training?
Our day training program runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Harrisonburg, VA. We schedule for your dog to attend on Tuesday and Thursday on each given week – one week at a time. Each day your dog will have a minimum of 3 training sessions, with one being videoed for you to watch at your convenience.
What is the price for Day Training?
The pricing varies based on the dog’s current status with Happy Hounds Doggy Daycare. For dogs already approved for Happy Hounds Doggy Daycare group play, the cost is $100 per week. For new clients that will not be joining the group play activities, the price is $180. This covers individual walks for potty breaks and enrichment activities throughout the day!
What are the vaccination requirements?
To ensure the safety and health of all dogs at our facility, we require the following up-to-date vaccinations:
• Rabies: Must be renewed every 1 to 3 years.
• Distemper/Parvo/Lepto: Must be renewed every 1 to 3 years.
• Bordetella (Kennel Cough): Highly recommended yearly. Kennel cough is very similar to a human getting a cold or the flu. Vaccinations should lessen the severity, but the dog can still show symptoms and get ill. Any time dogs co-mingle there is always a chance of this airborne illness being passed along.
If your dog is vaccinated at the time of expiration, we require a 24- to 48-hour waiting period before they can come to our facility.
For your convenience, vaccination records can be emailed or texted directly to us.
If you have additional questions about vaccination requirements, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help!
